Day 5 – Riding the Atlantic Route and beyond

Now we are leaving the Dombas area and heading for the Coast. The well known Atlantic Coast road which featured in James Bond “No time to Die” movie and multiple automotive video clips. The road in National Heritage and a must ride for us motorcyclists.

Leaving the camp site we set off on the E6, and at Dombas continuing on the E 136 towards Vikebukt. At Andalsnes we continued on the Fv 64 to the start of the Atlantic Coast Route. Near Molde we rode through the Fannefjordtunnelen, which goes underneath the airstrip of the local airport. The weather was still beautifull and we felt very lucky.

The route itself was amazing and with these weather conditions. The bridges and surrounding views blew us away.

After a short but intense ride across the bridges and islands, we contiued on the Fv 70 and turned on the E 39, finally heading North bound. There in the far north was our end goal of this journey, the North Cape. After a ride for several hours we got tyred and discussed not getting to the destination of the day in Orkanger.

We ended up on a Camping in the mountains of Lake Sovanet. It is called the Ellingsgården Grillrestaurant & Camping Romundstad. This was the first restaurant we saw with nive meals near our place of stay.

Again we choose a cabin because of the convience and pricing.

Now the charger of the laptop died, so now more updates this trip. I try to buy an other one on the north cape.
